Gamers get hella uncomfortable over male sexuality too. Can you imagine a “good male character who just happens to be wearing sexually exploitative outfits because he’s ok with his masculinity?” Constantly has the camera pan lovingly over his asscrack and firm glutes, and big ole dangly ballsack that is totes sweaty from all this MMA and soldiering. Time to hit the showers, and do you, personally, think it’s ok to have a long slow pan up the dude’s package (indiscreetly hidden in a jock of course), to his chiseled physique and erect nipples (pierced). He’s not even a Bond-esque confident man, he’s basically a weird Bowie caricature that’s constantly having near-dickslips in every single cinematic as the completely nonsexualized female characters do their business of being gruff and shooting dudes and advancing the plot. Finally, at the end he falls in love (out of nowhere) and/or is killed by the big baddie.
First off, I think gamers are of the least uncomfortable with their sexuality.. How many times have you killed someone on halo only to discover the guy you killed sent you a picture of his dick in return? One too many for my tastes (*rages*).
And here comes a random rant about objectifying women stuff that doesn’t relate or make sense…
And I dunno..I just believe that people are really not taking into consideration what alot/most men see in women, sexually of course. Male on male to GUARANTEED alot of men in the world is off putting. However this doesn’t mean men don’t like seeing male organs (put this in for the lolz, btw.. BUT ANYWAY): A statistic I read a couple years back said that 90% of men actually watch the male’s sexual organs during most of any sort of pornography that includes it, including male and female masturbation (toys). Now for my opinion and I’m sure millions of others men, AND women do.. I love seeing naked females, masturbating, sex with one or more males or females, female on female, and alot of other things I won’t post. But what I want to say more over all that stuff and fluff, is that not all of us objectify women, and the market is not to objectify women, it’s to make money off peoples thoughts and desires, with the total population of straight males and females being higher than gay/lesbian/hand (that last one I’m not too sure about) and coupled with the straights are bi-sexual people (Yes this does exist contrary to many advocates against it, there are people who are interested in both parties and attracted to both and are even willing to leave the country/hide to be polygamous.) other smaller types of people to list: pan-sexual, tans-sexual, ect. that enjoy the look of female characters, clad in nudity or something barely more. AND I DONT KNOW WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT ANYMORE BECAUSE IM RANTING.
Basically women are hot to a lot more people than the narrow-mindedness of lets make males look all sexy in our games. <—-This idea makes money so our economy can exist.
